Third Zhejiang Alumni Association Council Established

On the afternoon of 12th September, the inaugural meeting of the third Zhejiang Alumni Association Council was held in Hangzhou. The meeting was also a celebration ceremony for GDUFS’s 50th anniversary on the topic of reunion and building dreams. More than one hundred alumni flocked to Xixi hotel to spend their reunion night together. GDUFS’s Vice-President HE Chuanntian; Secretary-General of Alumni Association XIE Weiguang, and Deputy Secretary-General BI Jianyong attended the meeting, at which XU Zhihong was elected the third chairman of the Zhejiang Alumni Association.

HE Chuantian conveyed best wishes to the audience from the Secretary of the CPC Committee of GDUFS SUI Guangjun, and GDUFS’s President ZHONG Weihe, and expressed congratulations on the smooth nature of the leadership transition of the Zhejiang Alumni Association. After introducing the development of GDUFS and its anniversary briefly, HE said, “Guangwai’s 50th birthday is around the corner. The development of Guangwai can not only rely on a few people, but instead all of us. No matter where you are, our hearts are always linking together with Guangwai, and are devoted to the development of Guangwai.” On behalf of GDUFS, HE Chuantian invited the alumni to attend the activities of GDUFS’s 50th anniversary.

At the meeting, HE Chuantian provided XU Zhihong, the third Zhejiang Alumni Association Chairman as well as Honorary Chairman, with his appointment letter. HE Chuantian and XU Zhihong cut the ceremony cake marking GDUFS’s 50th anniversary.

During XU Zhihong’s speech, he expressed gratitude to GDUFS and the expectations of the Zhejiang Alumni Association. Alumni delegations of Shanghai, Jiangnan, Hainan, Jiangsu, Huizhou, Shenzhen, Foshan and Germany attended the meeting as well as expressed their congratulations.
