He highlighted that as one of the “high-level universities with major development support in Guangdong Province”, GDUFS is an important base in South China for international talent cultivation and studies of foreign languages and literature, global economic governance, foreign-related rule of law, and international communication of Chinese culture. GDUFS has been ranked among the top universities in China in the field of foreign languages and literature, with several disciplines ranking at the forefront nationwide. The university actively promotes international exchange and cooperation through the PRIME initiative, aiming to build high-end international cooperation platforms, innovate international talent cultivation models, and foster international academic research collaborations. GDUFS hopes to further expand and deepen the collaboration with UQ, building on the strong foundation of the existing partnership.

Andrew Griffiths expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm reception from GDUFS and shared insights into UQ’s development in China. He emphasized that UQ has enrolled many outstanding students from China and maintains a solid and close cooperative relationship with the country. GDUFS is a trusted partner of UQ, with shared values and development philosophies forming a strong foundation for the cooperation between the two universities.
