31 December--The Indian business school Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (XIME)'s President Joseph Philip and Professor C.P. Ravindranathan paid a visit to GUDFS on the afternoon of December 27th. An official partnership agreement between XIME and GDUFS was reached in an amiable conversation making GDUFS a member of the Association of BRICS Business Schools (ABBS).
At the reception, President Zhong gave a brief introduction to the MBA Education Center founded in 2007. President Philip followed suit and outlined the profile of XIME. Both counterparts promised to do their utmost to push the partnership into a further stage and expressed their vision for the future. It is agreed that joint efforts in education are indispensible to promote the relationship between China and India, which its significance is displayed by the recent coinage "Chindia" suggests.

After the reception, President Philip went on to visit MBA Education Center. Another session was held to discuss in detail more specific issues like exchange programs, international recruitment, and joint projects between XIME and GDUFS.
Background:
Located in Bangalore, the prestigious business school XIME is the only college recognized by AICTE in Bangalore. XIME is also one of the founders who initiated ABBS, a platform of mutual exchanges between members of BRICS: Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
Communications and exchanges between the MBA Education Center and XIME have long been in progress. To name a few, representatives from MBA Education Center participated at the 2nd Students Session of ABBS, held by XIME from November 25 to 29, 2010; then the counterpart of XIME also attended the 3rd Students Session of ABBS, conducted by GDUFS from March 26-28, 2011. In addition, XIME has conducted Entrepreneurship Development Program regularly.
