Jan. 11th-On January 6th, President M. Hum Kasiyarno from the Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) in Yogyakarta Indonesia visited GDUFS. Those who accompanied him were the Director of the Research Center Professor Sabiran and Indonesia's Cultural Consul in Guangzhou Buchari Bakar. GDUFS President Zhong Weihe and Vice-President Fang Fanquan met with the guests on the North Campus.

President Zhong first extended his warm welcome to President Kasiyarno and his company. He recalled his visit to Indonesia last year and said the visit had left him with a deep impression. As Sino-Indonesian culture is both analogous and complementary, education in the two countries breeds cooperatation opportunities with each other in many areas.

President Zhong then shared about the international cooperation GDUFS has with other higher institutions around the world. Till now, GDUFS has signed cooperation agreements with more than 200 foreign higher institutions and has established practical collaborations with more than half of them. Formed in 1970, the Department of Indonesian---Malaysian has established collaborative relationships with many Indonesian colleges and universities.

Its construction and development are greatly indebted to the support of partner institutions in Indonesia and the Indonesian Consulate General in Guangzhou. President Zhong hopes that students at UAD will come to GDUFS to learn about Chinese culture and business knowledge and that the student at GDUFS will study  in Indonesia and have Chinese teaching internships in Indonesia, which would help to facilitate the cultural communication between the two countries.
