GDUFS Discuss With Two Universities on CAMPUS Asia

Feb.26-On February 22th, GDUFS held  the Fourth CAMPUS Asia Conference with faculties from China, Japan and South Korea. Representatives from the Department of Literature at Ritsumeikan University, the Institute of Japanese Research at Dongseo University and the Faculty of Asian Languages and Cultures at  GDUFS attended the conference.

 

The three groups had an in-depth discussion about course arrangement, student selective mechanisms, the fluid arrangement of study, the manning of specific duty, fund investments, and website construction. The program will be enrolling new students in March or April.

GDUFS will select 20 students who are majoring in Japanese and Korean to join the program.

From that group, 10 students will be chosen to participate in the mobile learning program beginning in February 2013. According to the program, students can get up to 3 degrees or a joint degree from the 3 universities after they finish the joint learning project, get the required credits, and pass the corresponding exams.

 

After the conference, the Vice Secretary of the school抯 party committee, Xu Guobin, met representatives from the three groups. Xu mentioned that GDUFS is a university characterized by internationalization and distinctive teaching and research methods which highlights the internationalization of student cultivation.

 

CAMPUS Asia is one of the significant programs in the international construction which GDUFS greatly supports. The three sides have had a long-term cooperative relationship covering areas such as distant education and the cooperation of student exchange. They also hope for further cooperation through CAMPUS Asia in the future.

On February 23th, Xu also met the representatives from Ritsumeikan University which set an agency in Guangzhou for promoting the cooperation and exchange between the two schools. In the meantime, they hope to provide active support to CAMPUS Asia.
