March 8- Stephen Marston, President of the University of Gloucestershire, visited our school on February 28th along with the school's Director of the Department for International Development Jacqueline Baines. GDUFS' Vice President Liu Jianda met the guests at the Welcome Hall on the north campus. Principal Assistant Chenlin Han, and International Office Chief Jiao Fangtai also attended the meeting.
Vice-President Liu gave a warm welcome to the delegation from the University of Gloucestershire and conveyed cordial greetings from President Zhong Weihe. Vice-President Liu shared that there has been nearly fifteen years of friendly exchanges and cooperative relationships between GDUFS and the University of Gloucestershire. Both universities have launched fruitful partnerships in many fields. Last year, Gloucestershire provided more overseas learning opportunities for our students.

Moreover, GDUFS, together with Gloucestershire launched the "3 +1" double degree program. That is, students from GDUFS can study at GDUFS for three years and at Gloucestershire for one year and be awarded with degrees from both universities after graduation. Since the program was launched, two students have studied in the United Kingdom. President Stephen Marston stated that the partnership has achieved great success. He also suggested that Gloucestershire join GDUFS to expand the scale of the "3 +1" project this year and welcome more students to study in the UK. Meanwhile, Gloucestershire hopes to strengthen its partnership with GDUFS based on mutual interest.
Before the meeting, the Gloucestershire delegation also visited the International College, and discussed with school leaders about the further development of cooperation projects.
