The New Vice-chancellor of University of Lancaster Visit Our School

March 12th - On March 6th, Mark Smith, the new Vice-Chancellor at the University of Lancaster, visited GDUFS. Party Secretary Sui Guangjun along with President Zhong Weihe and other officials welcomed Vice-Chancellor Smith and the accompanying guests in the VIP room of the Administration Building.

 

Vice-Chancellor Smith said the cooperation between GDUFS and the University of Lancaster was high on his list, so he took his first overseas visit to GDUFS during his tenure. Although the project between the two universities can be complicated, he hopes that the two parties will make great efforts to bring success to the program.

 

Party Secretary Sui showed his warm welcome to the friends from Lancaster. He said all the staff and students at GDUFS have taken a great interest in the cooperative project. He also pointed out that everything starts from a hard beginning; we should put great care on the new project. Later, Party Secretary Sui exchanged ideas with Vice-Chancellor Smith about investment and the principle of the new jointly organized school.

President Zhong looked back at the achievements of the two sides over the past few years and introduced their progress in the new project. He added that we should encourage and support the ideas which are beneficial for the cooperation. After the conference, Vice-Chancellor Smith took a tour around our school along with President Zhong.

On March 7th, Vice-Chancellor Smith had an on-the-spot investigation of Nansha District accompanied by President Zhong.
