GDUFS Added Two Undergraduate Programs: Greek and Public Relations

Recently, the Ministry of Education issued a document named Notification of the Results of Undergraduate Majors’ Filing and Approval for General Institutes of Higher Education in 2015 (letter numbered [2016]2 from higher education hall). It states that GDUFS has been approved to enroll students in 2016 on two newly established majors: Greek and Public Relations. Greek (Major Code: 050236) is affiliated to Foreign Languages and Literatures; students will study for four years to obtain a BA Degree. Public Relations (Major Code: 120409T) is subordinated to Public Management; students will also study for four years to get Bachelor’s degree in Management. Until now, GDUFS possesses 66 bachelor's degree programs, including 21 majors of foreign languages. The undergraduate program is geared to international standards and has great potential for sustainable development.
It is reported that, in order to actively respond to the major national development strategies, such as the OBOR Initiative, GDUFS is devoted to cultivating minority languages professionals who can meet the requirements of the strategic development of China. Moreover, in light of the development strategy of the school, another 10 minority languages will gradually be opened for students during the next five years.
