Thereafter, ZHAO Junfeng, Dean of the School of Interpreting and Translation Studies of GDUFS, made a brief remark, taking a look back at GDUFS’s evolvement in interpreting and translation within recent ten years.

Next came to the speaking time of GDUFS Interpretation Group.

President ZHONG, Director of GDUFS Interpretation Group, delivered a speech on the consideration and suggestion of interpretation teaching in China, with the aim of displaying the group’s achievement as well as stressing academic cooperation. He summarily presented the current situation of domestic interpreting teaching: despite OBOR( One Belt One Road) calling on discipline construction and talent cultivation, which drives international culture exchange, foreign publicity and trade, the shortage of interpreting professionals was severe, becoming the bottleneck of development. As a interpreter who made earnest efforts to the translation discipline, not only did President ZHONG share the principle, content and methods that he approved in interpreting teaching, but also proposed his own consideration and suggestions.
