Over 1000 GDUFS Students Serve at the 117th Canton Fair

On April 15th, the 117th Canton Fair was unveiled in Padzhouwith 1052 students from the GDUFS School of International Business English, School of Business, School of Interpreting and Translation Studies and the South China Business College serving in the areas of accreditation consultation, fair consultants, electronic commerce, business and estates. On April 17th, LIU Jianda. Vice-President of GDUFS, together with several leaders from different schools of GDUFS, visited the students. They also had a discussion with those responsible about promoting the cooperation between Canton Fair and GDUFS.

LIU Jianda had a conversation with MA Chunzhi, the Secretary of Discipline Inspection of the China Foreign Trade Center. Ma mentioned there were many successful cases of the cooperation between GDUFS and the Canton Fair, which deepened their relationship. GDUFS’s students were highly praised for their conscientiousness by the sponsors and customers. The Secretary said the Canton Fair would keep innovating and reforming, looking forward to the cooperation of strategy formulation, cultivating outstanding students and research projects with GDUFS.

LIU Jianda expressed gratitude to the Canton Fair for providing students with such valuable opportunities to practice. It is forecast that, every year, there will be over 2000 students participating in the joint programs. In 2013, the GDUFS base of student participants in the joint programs was declared as one of the nationally-based programs in the Fair. The Canton Fair has been a highlight of the Chinese Exhibition industry and a significant bridge linking the international cooperation, of which this program is an example.

GDUFS attaches great importance to the cooperation with the government and the industries, providing them with specific services in the areas of outsourcing and social cultivation. It is believed that there exists enormous potential for their cooperation.

LIU Jianda visited the development history exhibition hall of the Canton Fair. He also visited the purchaser accreditation center, VIP reception center of international communications, consulting reception center and interpreting center to greet student participants telling them to treasure the opportunities so as to enhance their practical abilities.
