Cultural Counselor of Canadian Embassy Visited GDUFS

May 31th-On May 17th, the cultural counselor in Canadian Embassy in China, Mark McDowell visited GDUFS for the first time. Fang fanquan, vice chancellor of GDUFS warmly welcomed McDowell at the function room together with Jiao Fangtai, dean of International Corporation and exchange office and staffs form Canada Research Center.

Fang fanquan introduced to the guests about the history and achievements of GDUFS. He mentioned that the 15th Sino-Canada Seminar will be held by GDUFS’s Canada Research center this September. Experts will discuss about Canada’s diplomacy and policies after economic crisis. GDUFS also lookd forward to further cooperation with Canadian universities.

Cheng Yonglin, researcher from Canadian Research Center introduced to McDowell the basic information and research direction of Canada Research Center. He also expressed the willingness to cooperate with Canadian universities.
McDowell showed great interest in Canadian Research Center and said he would help promote the Guangdong’s cooperation with Canada.
