FELC and Guangzhou Opera House signed a cooperation agreement on May 9th. Signing this agreement symbolizes the first appearance of FELC dramas to the public at the Guangzhou Opera House. This upcoming performance marks the 15th FELC Drama Contest. It will present to the audience drama works like "Mrs. Warren`s Profession", "Sly Fox", "The Pillow Man" and "All My Sons".
Wang Bin, Party Secretary from FELC; Professor Liu Humin, Dean of the Department of English Literature and the General Supervisor of the FELC Drama Contest; Wang Dong, Secretary of the FELC Youth League; and Xie Zixia, Manager of the Guangzhou Opera House Arts Education Center attended the ceremony.
At the ceremony, Mr. Xie said that the Guangzhou Opera House Arts Education Center has been searching for ways to cooperate with colleges. The Center heard about GDUFS' yearly FELC Drama Contest through the media and decided to seize the opportunity to cooperate with GDUFS. Moreover, he introduced the Guangzhou Opera House briefly and shared his high expectations for the exciting drama night.
Later, Secretary Wang gave sincere thanks to the Guangzhou Opera House Arts Education Center for offering such a precious opportunity for students to show off their talents. He also pointed out that holding such an international, high-level and professional student activity was always FELC`s long-term goal.
Professor Liu Humin said that the Drama Contest, being one of the brand activities of FELC, was an opportunity and a process for students to apply theories from books into practical use. Since this year`s show withheld lots of surprises, the teachers and students from the faculty are looking forward to the show.
