President of KPU Seeks Further Cooperation with GDUFS

May 23th-- President Alan Davis from Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) visited GDUFS to seek further cooperation between the two universities. CPC Secretary Sui Guangjun warmly received the guests from Canada and the two sides held talks on the north campus.

President Davis said that KPU has implemented a five-year plan to steer the development of the university. He believes under the guideline of the plan, the cooperative relationship between KPU and GDUFS will be further expanded and strengthened. Specifically, KPU will organize short-term student exchange programs in the near future by sending students to study at GDUFS. The President also praised the GDUFS students who are currently studying at KPU for their diligence and enthusiasm.

Secretary Sui also expressed his hope to build a closer cooperative relationship with KPU in the future. He said that so far GDUFS has established partnerships with more than 230 universities and academic organizations throughout the world and will continue to adopt a strategy of internationalization in the future. The Dean of the International College Chen Hanlin said he hopes that KPU will provide GDUFS students with more advice on issues such as how to choose proper courses for themselves. All-in-all it was a very successful visit.
