Zhong Weihe Made a Speech On the Global University Presidents Forum

Nov. 23^rd 桹n the morning of Nov.16^th, GDUFS President Zhong Weihe attended the Global University Presidents Forum at the South China University of Technology together with ten principals of world-famous colleges. Focusing on the topic of universities and regions抎evelopment, they discussed the plans of higher education and cooperation in the future.

President Zhong gave a speech on the forum and introduced GDUFS?development process of internationalization strategies and the long-term goal to become a high-level university with international features. Zhong emphasized that GDUFS had been engaged in promoting internationalized education and equipped students with excellent professional skills. Besides, GDUFS is devoted to cultivating students to be talented individuals with a broad vision, creativity, and good manners; students who will make contributions to the development of the region抯 economy. To fulfill this goal, GDUFS will continue developing its teaching modes and providing students with international teaching resources.

After the speech, President Zhong along with other principals answered the questions raised by the audiences about the role that international college collaborations play in the course of a regions globalization.

It was said that before the start of the forum, President Zhong, on behalf of the GDUFS, delivered a gift and expressed his good wishes to President Wang Yingjun for the upcoming celebration of the SCUT抯 60^th anniversary.
