Mike & Molly intends to share with us stories of a fat couple's life, career and love. Mike Biggs, a kind obese policeman in Chicago, met Molly Flinn, a humorous and charming primary school teacher of the same size, by accident. They had a chemistry and fell in love with each other. There were times when they were stuck in countless embarrassing and difficult situations that forced them to separate with each other due to their family and friends. But at last they managed to stay together. As Mike's partner Carl said , their huge bodies are intended for their wide and open hearts.

Mike & Molly is very inspirational, telling us obesity can never stand in the way of finding one's true love. There are numerous obese people who feel insecure about themselves and pessimistic in the pursuit of their love. Maybe Mike and Molly felt the same way at the very beginning, but later when they came to know each other, they meant to brave the stereotypes of people around them and fought to be together. Certainly every obese individual deserves the right to seek after their love.

Communication is another message this TV series conveys. There were scenes where the couple sat down and had a talk when something unpleasant occurred. It was the power of communication that increased their mutual understanding and strengthened their bond, enabling them to tackle every obstacle along the way.
