The 3rd World Culture Festival in GDUFS: Embracing Fabulous Cultural Diversity

Oct.21st - Most attractive voices, amazing dances, brilliant band, and waves of glad hurrahs: what's the mixture of all these fantastic things? Yes, it's the 3rd World Culture Festival in GDUFS!

 

This festival caused a sensation in both campuses. Yunshan Hall at the North Campus embraced students from all over the world in the evening on Oct.20th. Students from 82 countries and regions brought an excellent evening. The director from the Institute of Education for International Students attended this evening party and appreciated these unique programs.

 

The fashion show of national costume

 

The party began with a hot dance called "Heart Throb of The World" and all the dancers form different countries. Audiences even assembled in front of the stage and shook their bodies with the drumbeat. The world fashion show pushed the party to a climax. Models were dressed in traditional folk costumes and all the models are students from around the world: India, Russia, Germany, Spain, Thailand and so on. The audiences broke into thunderous applause.

 

Korean girls brought a cute dance called "Gee" .Two students played the traditional instrument from Kazak called Dombra and the traditional Chinese instrument named 4-stringed Chinese lute. Zeng Jiayi sang a song in three languages: Chinese, Cantonese and Vietnamese. Two students from Africa showed their talent in dance and there is no doubt they were the stars on the stage. Girls were crazy about their dramatic steps and shouted full of excitements. Antonio who is from Spain brought one song called "Angel or devils", his beautiful singing enraptured audiences everywhere in the hall. He's so popular that the people lined up for taking a photo with him. He has already participated in an educational exchange for one year.

 

 

Performers and audiences

 

A group of Chinese students gave a Kung fu show. It impressed everyone present. Five Korean boys brought a modern dance named "Lucifer" which attracted all the attention of young girls. Finally, the party ended with a song "My Future Is Not a Dream" sang by the teachers from the Institute of Education for International Students.

 

Mr.Liang, the director of Institute of Education for International Students said it proved a chance for students to communicate with each other and show their own culture. He pointed out that the culture diversity had been a tendency trade in the future; we would promote the cooperation between other countries and find the opportunities in cultural diversity.
