Around the time of Lantern Festival, leaders of GDUFS, representing the University, visited some School Governors and Schoolfellows with wishes for the New Year. When visiting HUANG Hua, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, SUI Guangjun said that, in these years GDUFS has gained notable developments in different aspects of academia such as disciplinary construction, personnel training, scientific research, social services and so on, all widely approved by society. However, without the attention and support of the School Governors and School Fellows, GDUFS wouldn’t have achieved every goal. What’s more, this year is the fiftieth anniversary of GDUFS, a milestone of the development. SUI hoped that they could keep on contributing to our university.

ZHONG Weihe spent time visiting a number of Schoolfellows and told them that they were ‘cards’ signaling the success of GDUFS in society and that their Alma Mater was so proud of their growth and development. In addition, he noted that GDUFS hoped that it could enhance communications with them in order to realize the cooperation between enterprises and the university, each helping the other to win more.

The group visited enterprises of Schoolfellows in Foshan city.

During the visits to some companies of GDUFS Schoolfellows, HE Chuantian learned more about the preparations for the founding of an alumni association in Foshan city. He demonstrated that the Alma Mater, GDUFS, attached great importance to Schoolfellows’ work and thought highly of their opinions and suggestions. With the hope of more cooperative ventures between their enterprises and students’ employment efforts of GDUFS, he also welcomed the idea that they could deliver speeches to the students on campus at the university, teach them skills and share experiences.

Many Schoolfellows responded that they paid close attention to their Alma Mater and felt proud of her achievements in these years. They owed great gratitude to GDUFS and promised that they would continue participating in the construction of the university, supporting the alumni association and contributing to GDUFS.
