He emphasized that the university is fully committed to internationalization. For example, through the PRIME Program for international exchange and cooperation, GDUFS has established cooperative partnerships with 511 universities and academic institutions across 66 countries and regions, with a leap in the international ranking. Taking advantage of its numerous national first-class undergraduate major construction sites, the university has ramped up efforts to foster an interdisciplinary talent development system of “Russian + International Economics and Trade” to supply a large number of versatile professionals for Sino‑Russian strategic cooperation. In addition, the university places great importance on educational exchange with Russia and expects deeper cooperation in various areas with Russian universities and institutions in the future, so as to promote educational innovation and cultural exchanges, and contribute further to the economic development and people‑to‑people ties between Russia and China.

Consul General Alexandr Chernousov expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and highly praised GDUFS for its remarkable contribution to Russia-China cooperation and exchange. He remarked that the desire for stronger cooperation between the two countries is growing. The Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Guangzhou, together with the Russian Cultural Centre, will encourage more Russian universities and institutions to deepen collaboration with GDUFS, and to launch and implement a series of activities that are beneficial to Russia-China relations.
