Delegation from Singapore Soans Group Visit GDUFS

On October 17, a delegation led by Fang Qinghai, Chairman of Soans Group in Singapore, visited Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) for discussions and exchanges. Tang Rui, Deputy Party Secretary of GDUFS, and heads of relevant departments attended the meeting. The focus was international talent development, cooperative education, student internships abroad, and employment opportunities.

Highlights from the Meeting

During the meeting, Deputy Party Secretary Tang Rui highlighted GDUFS’s achievements and distinctive features in international education. He pointed out that both sides could leverage their respective resource advantages to make precise efforts in expanding cooperation, overseas practices, and student employment, thereby meeting the demand for high-quality, versatile talents from enterprises and creating more opportunities and pathways for students in their academic and career pursuits. Tang Rui extended a warm invitation for more international students to join GDUFS and expressed hope that this exchange would serve as the beginning of meaningful progress in international and regional studies, cooperative education projects, and university-industry collaboration in lesser-commonly-taught language programs, contributing to regional economic development through GDUFS’s efforts.

Chairman Fang Qinghai highly praised GDUFS’s achievements in international education. He introduced the basic situation of the Soans Group and conveyed a strong desire for future collaboration. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on various topics, including student and faculty exchange, Chinese-foreign cooperative education programs, targeted international talent cultivation, brand-building cooperation, overseas industry-academia-research collaboration, and the establishment of internship bases, all aimed at exploring potential avenues for cooperation.
