A delegation from University of Technology Sydney visited GDUFS

Baiyun Mountain Campus, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, June 5 , 2023: On the afternoon of April 26, Iain Watt, Vice President of University of Technology Sydney, and his delegation visited GDUFS. Jiao Fangtai, Vice President of GDUFS, met the guests in the VIP Hall of the Administration Building of Baiyunshan Campus. The two sides exchanged views on personnel training and expanding cooperation.

Jiao Fangtai welcomed the visit of Wan Yinzhong and the delegation and introduced the characteristics of our school. He pointed out that the university emphasized both foreign languages and coordinated development of multiple disciplines, striving to build itself into a high-level university with distinctive international characteristics. He reviewed the cooperation and exchanges between the two schools in the past. As he pointed out, the two schools have similar educational concepts, which lays a foundation for the deepening of cooperation between the two schools. In the future, he hopes to further exchange in the areas of teacher-student exchange and scientific research, as well as enrich the level of cooperation between the two schools.

Iain Watt introduced the general situation of University of Technology Sydney and its academic advantages. He mentioned that the University of Technology Sydney has a sound educational foundation and flexible training mode, which provides strong guarantee for the all-round development of students. He agreed that internationalization is conducive to improving students' communicative competence and broadening their international perspective. He looked forward to the cooperation between the two universities in the fields of law, business and other advantageous disciplines.

Heads of the international office attended the talks. After the meeting, the delegation went to the school history hall for a visit.
