Delegation of Panyapiwat Institute of Management Visit GDUFS

North Campus, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, March 15^th, 2023: Led by its vice president, XU Erming, the delegation of Panyapiwat Institute of Management visited GDUFS’s north campus on the morning of March 15^th. They were warmly greeted by LIU Haichun, member of the Standing Committee of the Party and Vice President of GDUFS, at the VIP Guest Room of the Executive Building. Both sides exchanged ideas on talents cultivation and think tank organization.

LIU Haichun welcomed the delegation’s coming and introduced to them the university’s performance. He pointed out that GDUFS has pledged to provide education openly, introduce education resources of a high quality, and has formed cooperative ties with 488 universities or academic institutions in 60 countries or regions. Moreover, he shared with the delegation the basic information and development expectation of the Knowledge city Campus. Based on GDUFS’ “multilingual+major” feature, he looks forward to further cooperation between the two universities in all academic areas. In order to jointly promote cultural exchange and mutual learning among civilizations, LIU hopes to achieve a new growth point for Thai talent cultivation, advanced think tank organization and project setting, including joint training for masters and doctoral students and Confucius Institute.

XU Erming introduced the performance of Panyapiwat Institute of Management and their achievements in disciplinary construction. He said GDUFS, as a partner of great importance, has great collaborative potential in academic research, cultural communication and student exchanges. He expects to deepen relationship with GDUFS and strengthen connections in all areas so as to cooperate in a steady and far-reaching way.

After the meeting, Panyapiwat Institute of Management and GDUFS signed a Co-operation Frame Agreement and an Agreement on the Co-construction of the “Belt and Road Research Center”.

Heads of the International Office, Guangdong Institute for International Strategies, Huangpu Research Institute and other relevant units attended the meeting.
