GDUFSers won the first prize in the National Multilingual Interpreting Competition

On November 5th, the 15th ‘Yongwang cup’ Multilingual National Interpretation Competition, co-sponsored by the China Translators Association and BISU, was held in Beijing. Students from GDUFS Zhou Wei won the first prize in the Interpretation Category; Yu Ying won the Excellent Award in the Japanese Simultaneous Interpretation Category; He Xinyao won the second prize in the French Interpretation Category; and Zhang Linna won the Excellence Award in the Korean Interpretation Category.

Aeon Cup Multilingual National Interpretation Competition is a widely respected competition with a large number of participants, the largest selection of languages, the greatest scale and influence, and the highest level of competition at home and abroad. This year’s interpretation competition is one of a series of activities to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the founding of the China Translation Association. 6 students from our school entered the semi-final. They performed well and were unanimously recognized by judges. Because of the epidemic, this year utilized an online format with a live broadcast.
