Teachers in GDUFS Published an Article on Poverty Alleviation in Polish Mainstream Journals

North Campus, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, May 6th 2022: On May 6th, Tribune, the mainstream media in Poland, published the article “Poverty Alleviation and Rural Revitalization: The Road of Rural Development with Chinese Characteristics”, which written by professor Mao Yinhui and professor Jiang Yong of GDUFS. The article was displayed prominently within the magazine. With the purpose of propelling new progress in global poverty reduction, the article shared China’s experience in poverty alleviation, while appealing to the international community to strengthen cooperation in poverty reduction and development. As an “upgraded version of poverty alleviation”, rural revitalization has attracted extensive attention from the international community. Not only did the article review the achievements of poverty alleviation in China over the past ten years, but it also analyzed the main measures taken by the Chinese government and the experience of their poverty alleviation management.

The article cleared the logical relations between poverty alleviation and rural revitalization. It stressed that rural revitalization is a comprehensive way for rural development, which includes several goals like economic development, job creation, food security, optimized management structure and environment protection. Only by achieving all these goals can realize rural revitalization.
