Delegation from University of Birmingham Visits GDUFS

August 31 - On August 27, accompanied by project leader of China Dr. Ma Bin, Dr. Edward John Harcourt, director of International Relations Department from University of Birmingham, visits GDUFS. Vice President Fang Fanquan met with them in North Campus. Also in attendance were director of the International Office Jiao Fangtai and Li Qing, secretary general of International Institute for Strategic Studies.
Dr. Edward briefly gave an introduction of University of Birmingham, UK. Established in 1900, this university has attracted more than 7000 Chinese students so far. The most famous one among them was Li Siguang, an outstanding geologist of China. With a program of building relationship with universities from Asia Pacific Region, Dr. Edward, represented University of Birmingham, seeks for more cooperation with GDUFS in exchanging students and researching.
Later, Vice President Fang Fanquan also gave a brief introduction of GDUFS. He said that the two universities can cooperate in social sciences and social politics.
