In 2013 GDUFS Sent 882 Exchange Students Overseas

On the afternoon of December 26th, the "International Exchange Programs Sharing Meeting", co-hosted by the Faculty of English Language and Culture and Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, was held in the Sifang Lecture Hall of No. 9 Teaching Building on the North Campus. The aim was to help students gain a better understanding of the international exchange programs of GDUFS.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, LIU Ming said sincerely:" Chance favors only the prepared mind", telling us that the programs at Guangwai may vary from day to day. In 2013 Guangwai sent, altogether, 882 exchange students for overseas study and the reason for their getting the chance was sufficient preparation for the application for studying abroad. LIU suggested that the students intending to go abroad for further study had best enhance their understanding of the international exchange programs during their first two years here, making certain of their good preparation for the future plan of studying overseas.

 

WANG Yichen, from School of English for International Business, LI Jingxiang, from Faculty of English Language and Culture and LU Wenting from the Faculty of Asian Languages and Culture, shared their experiences at Victoria University of Wellington, the Hong Kong Institute of Education and Kyung Hee University separately. They agreed that only by sparing no effort to learn as much as possible, can one practically gain the fruits from his or her studying abroad experience.

After the meeting, the teachers from the GDUFS Students Affair , the Dean's Office , the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and USIEA made a clear introduction relative to the information on the programs and related policies and answered the questions raised by the students.
