Thailand's Delegation from Department of Basic Education Visits GDUFS

On April 8th, a delegation of 47 members from Thailand's   Department of Basic Education, under the Ministry of Education, visited the International  School. LIANG Xuehong,  Dean of the International school, met with the delegation members at No. 7 teaching building.

 

Dean LIANG  briefly introduced the history, development, and future strategy of GDUFS to the delegation with a special  focus on the the experience of receiving Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn as the  Head of  the International  Exchange  Office. LIANG said GDUFS and the International  School attach great importance to the exchanges in education with Thailand. At present, Thailand is the fourth largest source of international students at GDUFS. Every year, around two hundred Thai  students come to GDUFS for exchange  or study . Bapan, the  Head of the Thailand delegation, expressed gratitude for Mr. LIANG's introduction and warm reception.  He said the visit has deepened their understanding of  China, and he hopes to continue  promoting the friendship and education exchanges between China and Thailand after the current visit.

 

After the meeting, the delegation visited the  International  School, the student canteen and the cultural square.  Led by Ms. ZHOU Quan, the  Leader of  the International  Student   Project, the delegation visited the language reading room in the library and viewed the handwriting samples of Princess Sirindhorn.
