GDUFS to Cooperate with National University of Modern Languages, Pakistan

On April 18th, Delegates from National University of Modern Languages, Islamabad, Pakistan (NUML), led by Rector Masood Hasan and Director General Azam Jamal, paid a visit to our university. Accompanying them was Babar Amin, Pakistan's Consul General in Guangzhou. President of GDUFS, Mr. ZHONG Weihe extended his warm welcome.

 

GDUFS, offering courses in 18 foreign languages and has established cooperative relations with more than 250 colleges and universities. "It's the first time that GDUFS will cooperate with friends from Pakistan.ZHONG said, "It is progress to establish a friendship with NUML."

 

 

Meeting between the President of GDUFS and the Rector of NUML

 

The National University of Modern Languages was established as an institute in 1969 to help people communicate and understand each other in different oriental and occidental languages, to assimilate different cultures and to act as springboard for emerging disciplines. It now teaches 27 oriental and occidental languages in addition to a number of emerging disciplines.

 

 

Agreement on Exchange Students between GDUFS and NUML

 

NUML has always been dedicated to the teaching of Chinese languages and culture. The Chinese Department was established in 1970 and now enrolls 177 students. What's more, there are 142 international students from China enrolled at NUML. Rector Masood Hasan proposed that NUML and GDUFS should collaborate, and establish an International Centre of Education.

 

At the end of the conference, President ZHONG and Rector Masood Hasan signed a Memo and Agreement on Exchange Students between NUML and GDUFS.
