Delegates from Universitas Stikubank Visit GDUFS

On May 7^th, 8 delegates from Indonesia visited GDUFS, including Sophiyanto Wuryan, Chairman of the Indonesian Community Development Foundation (YPPMI); Hasan Abdul Rozak, Taswan, the President and Vice President of Universitas Stikubank, and R. Basiya, the Director of the Institution of Development and Promotion. Vice President FANG Fanquan warmly received the distinguished guests at the north campus, along with CAI Hong, the Director of the International Office, FANG Fei, Dean of the Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture and CAI Jincheng, a retired professor of Fundamental Indonesian as well as a liaison between GDUFS and Universitas Stikubank.

Delegates from Universitas Stikubank explained their wish for the establishment of a Confucius Institute at their university. At the beginning of the meeting, Vice President FANG presented general information and the educational features of GDUFS, followed by President Hasan’s introduction of the Chinese subjects taught at Universitas Stikubank. At the end, both exchanged gifts.

 Located in Samarang, in the northern part of Central Java, Universitas Stikubank was set up in 1968, and has gradually developed to a university with diverse subjects from its’ origins as a financial school. Recently the university has been planning to start teaching Chinese subjects so that further cooperation with GDUFS is possible.
