On the 2nd of June, William Leahy, Vice-chancellor of Brunel University of the UK and Ming-chi Kwok, Project leader of the same university in China visited GDUFS. They were received by FANG Fanquan, Vice-president of GDUFS at the VIP Hall in the north campus.

Since establishing cooperative relationship with Brunel University in 2011, our university had sent two students from the Faculty of English Language and Culture to attend the 2+2 joint-degree program. This year, our university will send another two students to attend that same program. During the meeting, William Leahy commended our graduates excellent performance when studying at his university, and expressed his hope that there could be further cooperation and exchanges between both sides. Devoted to the research and teaching of Shakespeare, Professor William Leahy had visited our university several times and had lectured on Shakespeare’s works for teachers and students at GDUFS. Afterwards, William Leahy and FANG Fanquan exchanged gifts expressing their willingness to cooperate.
It is well known that Brunel University is famous for its Business majors. Therefore, Vice-president FANG expressed his hope to expand the collaboration in Language Studies, Business Studies and in various research fields so as to further exchanges on both sides.
