Delegates of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń Paid Their First Visit to GDUFS to Promote Cooperation

On Sep.1st, Adam, the dean of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, as well as Marschall, director of the Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture, visited GDUFS. The vice president FANG Fanquan met guests in the VIP lounge, discussing cooperation between the Polish major and the Chinese major.

FANG Fanquan gave a brief introduction of GDUFS: Compared to similar foreign language schools in China, the overall standard of GDUFS came out in front. GDUFS has established several language majors, in which the Faculty of Eastern Language has set up majors in 10 languages from 10 countries. In addition, the employment rate of graduates ranked highly among the nation. Besides, GDUFS taught 108 courses using English. This type of teaching required students to acquire knowledge in English, as well as their major’s subject content. Speaking of the cooperation with Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, FANG Fanquan pointed out that GDUFS welcomed Polish students to study on campus. The Institute of Overseas Students will formulate courses in order for overseas students to learn about the political and economic status of China.

Adam highly praised the English teaching characteristics of GDUFS, and was willing to cooperate. As stated in his introduction, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń has more than 2000 teachers and staff, and more than 30,000 students. The school has already established all European Languages and will set up a Chinese major in the coming year. Besides that, it has also set up a Medicine major and a Chemistry major among others for overseas students. He represented his school to welcome the communication with students of the Polish major in GDUFS, as well as make a promise of the teaching quality and teachers to promote limitless cooperation in more fields.
 

Giving Souvenirs to Each Other

 

Subsequently, they gave souvenirs to each other and continued to discuss the details of the cooperation. CAI Hong from the International Office, YANG Ke from the Faculty of Western Language, WU Fangfei from the Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture, WU Yan from the Institute of Overseas Students and so on also attended the meeting.
