On September 8th, 2015, representatives of the Chile University of Border, which is one of top 10 universities in Chile, visited GDUFS. Attendees of the convention were FANG Fanquan - Vice-President of GDUFS; CAI Hong - Director of the International Office of GDUFS; Eduardo Hebel - Vice President of the Chile University of Border, and Martha Ramirez - Director of the International Office of Chile University of Border. Increased cooperation of Chinese and Spanish is expected in the future between the two universities.

Chile University of Border emphasizes the importance of learning traditional Chinese culture, and thus offers many Chinese courses. In the convention, Eduardo Hebel expressed their desire to have active projects with GDUFS on Chinese and Spanish, considering that the demand of learning Chinese in Chile is rapidly increasing.
Vice-President FANG briefly introduced the history and constituting colleges of GDUFS. “We warmly welcome more students from Chile University of Border to come here to study.” FANG said. Consensus was reached quickly that cooperative projects should be carried out as soon as possible.
