At the start, Vice President CHEN broke the ice with the reckless weather of Guangzhou City, “You have chosen a good time, for it rained relentlessly the other day.” Then Vice Rector Madalena responded humorously, “God help us with this trip.”

After a brief introduction of two universities, the two parties settled down to business. The main goal of Vice Rector Madalena’s first trip to China is the Portuguese graduate program, which had been approved by the Department of Education recently, mainly to cultivate a larger number of talents of Portuguese learning. The Vice Rector added, “It’s our great honor to have the opportunity to cooperate with GDUFS. On top of recruiting more preeminent talents, we hope to spread across the continent our university’s reputation. In other words, to advertise our university by virtue of this program.”
