On April 11, a delegation from Adelaide University in Australia, including Pro Vice-Chancellor Lori Hocking, Associate Director of Transnational Education Darren Turner, and admissions manager of China Qiu Yanqiong, visited Beijing to attend the 2026 China Study Abroad Forum. Vice President Shen Minghao met with the delegation in Beijing on behalf of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) for in-depth discussions on deepening international cooperation and promoting substantive cooperation projects.

Highlight from the Meeting
During the meeting, Shen extended a warm welcome to the delegation and briefly introduced GDUFS’s educational orientation, disciplinary features, and internationalization progress. He noted that since the establishment of the partnership between the two universities in 2023, substantial progress has been made in student exchanges, leadership training, and joint programs. He hoped that both sides would, on this basis, further focus on areas such as curriculum articulation, joint training, and research collaboration to promote the implementation of cooperation projects and deliver tangible results for mutual benefit.
Lori Hocking expressed her appreciation for GDUFS’s warm hospitality and outlined Adelaide University’s post-merger development strategy, disciplinary strengths, and global collaboration framework. She spoke highly of GDUFS’s achievements in international education and expressed her willingness to continue expanding collaboration with GDUFS, deepening two-way exchanges of faculty and students, and jointly contributing to the internationalization of higher education.
