North Campus, November 16th 2018: Olivier APTEL, Dean of Rabat Business School in Morocco, and his delegation visited GDUFS. SHI Youqi, President of GDUFS, met the guests in the Reception Hall of the Administration Building. They held the signing ceremony of the cooperation memorandum and student exchange programs after the meeting.
The two sides had an amicable discussion
SHI Youqi welcomed the delegation and briefly introduced the African Studies Centre, School of Business, and School of Economics and Trade. He pointed out that, Olivier APTEL had once visited GDUFS and established a good friendship and collaboration. He hoped that Olivier APTEL’s return can promote the exchange of students, teachers, and cooperative research between the two universities.
Olivier APTEL showed gratitude for the warm welcome. He expressed pleasure that, due to rapidly progressing globalization, the relationship between China and Africa has become closer and closer. More Chinese corporations have been established in Africa, especially in Morocco. He hoped that the two universities can become cooperative partners, fostering more talents proficient in the cultural, political and economic background of both China and Africa, so as to further advance the cooperation and exchange of China and African countries.
The signing between two sides
After talking, the two sides had a detailed discussion about specifics of the collaboration, which specified the exchange of students and teachers. CAI Hong, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, and ZHU Wenzhong, Dean of School of Business and head of African Studies Centre, also attended the meeting.
