Congress of the 33rd Teachers'Day and Commendation

On September 7^th, the staff of GDUFS gathered together and attended a congress in Yunshan Hall on the North Campus in celebration of the 33^rd Teachers’ Day. At the congress, advanced teams and individuals were commended with certificates of merit and silk banners.  SUI Guangjun , General Secretary and President of GDUFS , delivered a sincere speech to express his appreciation to all the contributions teachers had made, and his great expectations for the next school year. The congress was hosted by the Vice President of GDUFS YANG Aimin.

During the effective speech, SUI Guangjun summarized the sustained and remarkable progress GDUFS had made during the last school year, which included talent cultivation, academic research, teaching quality development and cultural innovation. In addition, he emphasized that GDUFS is now confronted with different opportunities and challenges, and staff of GDUFS ought to remain sober-minded, become more aware of potential problems and enhance their sense of responsibility.

After the congress, we were honored to interview Clara, who is a new teacher of GDUFS. She has just graduated from university and got her master’s degree: “To be honest, early in the morning, before I was here, I already felt nervous and excited. It is my first time to attend this kind of congress, and it is a significant milestone for me and my career. The speech that Mr. SUI has delivered really inspired me, telling me to seize every opportunity and add creativity into my teaching methods.” Calling herself “fresh blood”, Clara did gain a lot through this congress.
