On May 25th, two guests from Massey Universityin New Zealand - Harry Verhagen, Associate Director of the Centre for Professional and Continuing Education, and Business Manager Joy Hotter - visited GDUFS for a continuing education project. Vice President YANG Aimin and Dean of the College of Continuing Education and Open College HE Yongbin received the guests in the 3rd Teaching Building on the North Campus.
Bilateral parties jovially discussed the project
YANG briefed the guests on the goal of GDUFS to build a world-class university with distinctive teaching features. He pointed out that continuing education and vocational training, an integral part of GDUFS’s educational curriculum, will be facilitated by the cooperation projects with Massey University. Harry Verhagen also basically introduced Massey University and the characteristics of the continuing education program. Later, he showed great interest and willingness in the bilateral cooperation program with GDUFS.
It’s reported that the project conducted by GDUFS and Massey University is one of the overseas projects initiated by the predominant discipline union in New Zealand, in hopes of granting students with relative majors the opportunity to receive overseas education in New Zealand. In the afternoon, Harry Verhagen, together with his companions, delivered a lecture on the project in the Xiamao campus of the Continuing Education and Open College of GDUFS.
