Six GDUFS Teachers Receive Grants from the NSFC

Recently, the 2016 NSFC evaluation results of applied projects have been announced. Six applicants from GDUFS, namely ZHANG Aiheng, SONG Rou, HAN Yonghui, ZHANG Hao, ZHANG Jianwu, and ZHONG Zuchang, were selected to receive NSFC funding for their applied programs - including three general programs and three science foundation for youth programs. The funding amount reached 2.11 million RMB, which is in line with last year.

This year, the project application proposals were submitted to NSFC by 37 teachers of GDUFS from the School of Finance, School of Economics and Trade, Cisco School of Informatics, Guangdong Research Institute for International Studies, School of Business, School of Accounting, Faculty of English Language and Culture, Collaborative Innovation Center for Language Research and Services, Center for International Trade and Economics, Research Institute of Cantonese Merchants and Guangzhou International Trade Center Key Research Base. Among these teachers, five were introduced to GDUFS in 2014, and two are Yunshan scholars, which means the introduction of talents provides strong support for the development of scientific research in our school.

So far, GDUFS has been given approval to initiate 42 high-level projects, such as the Major Project of National Social Science Fund, the General Project of Ministry of Education and the Post-funded Project of Ministry of Education. GDUFS will continue to provide effective guidance for the application of NSFC projects, thus improving its core competitiveness of scientific research.
