The Female Staff Forum at GDUFS

On March 8th, the International Women’s Day, a forum for the female staff was held at GDUFS. ZHONG Weihe, President of GDUFS, attended the forum. In addition to female university staff, representatives of divisions also attended the forum, including Academic Programmes Division, Asset Management Division, Logistics Division, Library, Trade Union and so on.

At the beginning of the forum, President ZHONG sent roses to all women to express his festival greetings. Then, he delivered a short speech. President ZHONG spoke highly of the efforts the female staff had made. He showed his sincere thanks to them, as they have made a significant contribution to GDUFS.

After President ZHONG’s speaking, representatives of the female staff shared their opinions on some problems. What concerned them most was the universal two-child policy. They asked for support to give birth to their second child. President ZHONG responded that support and encouragement was definitely available. 

Some representatives asked to install more security cameras on the campus, because a colleague had recently had their belongings stolen. Related division staff said they were taking measures to solve this problem.

CONG Jin is a mentor of the School of English for International Business. She asked whether the computer system could be improved. The only Chinese version caused lots of trouble for foreign teachers. They thought it would be better if it were both Chinese and English. Some problems were solved immediately.

President ZHONG finally made a brief summary of the forum. He hoped the female staff felt more and more happiness and convenience at GDUFS.
