Eight Teachers Selected for Provincial Training Plan

Recently, the Education Department of Guangdong Province announced the trainees of the 2015 Training Plan of Outstanding Young University Teachers. Eight teachers of GDUFS have been selected for the training. They are HAO Tianyong, REN Wei, DING Zhong, LU Haifan, AN Yuan, HUANG Liangxiong, XIE Jun and DING Hao.

The Training Plan of Outstanding Young University Teachers aims to cultivate excellent young talents. It mainly subsidizes outstanding university teachers who are under 35 and helps them develop. This exciting plan helps improve the overall quality of university teachers. In addition, it promotes the development of higher education institutions in Guangdong Province. Trainees should be trained for 3 years. The funding ranges from 150,000 yuan to 300,000 yuan per person.

According to the official documents, the number of the applicants is limited. The opportunity is available for at most eight teachers from GDUFS every year. However, GDUFS maintains a high rate of selection. Each year, seven or eight GDUFS teachers are chosen for the plan. Since 2013 when the plan was carried out, there have been 23 teachers from GDUFS attending the training. It really promotes the cultivation of the young talents of GDUFS and improves the overall quality of young teachers at our university.
