GDUFS & CTPC's Collaboration Project on Big Data Launched

Delegation from CTPC (China Translation & Publishing Corporation) and GTC TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD paid a visit to GDUFS on February 23rd. Together with President ZHONG Weihe and Vice President YANG Aimin; standing Vice President of TAC (Translations Association of China), HUANG Youyi; Manager of CTPC, HUANG Song, and Manager of GTC TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD, YU Yang visited several institutes such as Guangdong Institute for International Strategies and Guangdong Collaborative Innovation Center for Language Research & Service. They also attended a meeting hosted by YANG Aimin and exchanged views on some collaborative affairs in terms of talent training, collaborative R&D, and language services.

President ZHONG expressed his heartfelt thanks and welcome to this delegation. He briefly introduced the history and development of GDUFS firstly, then the study environment, and finally the fruitful achievements we have made in terms of talent training, scientific research, social service and so on, in recent years headed by some advanced subjects. He expressed that we were willing to cooperate with CTPC in a comprehensive and deep manner on some major fields like the foundation of large linguistic data resources.

HUANG Song introduced the basic status of CTPC. Established in 1973, China Translation and Publishing Corporation is one of the press organizations directly under the leadership of the State Administration of Press and Publishing, which is a national translation and publishing organization authorized by the State Council. In recent years, CTPC develops very well and the company scale is enlarging step by step. It has moved towards internet technology and is focusing on a large linguistic data foundation. YU Yang introduced the latest fruits of GTC TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD in the fields of large cross-language data, language services and language science. He also presented the application of relevant tech and pictured the blueprints of cooperation in detail. At last, both sides conducted a further talk and reached a consensus comprehensively.
