GDUFS Chairman of the Board Donation Ceremony

On the afternoon of October 14th, the Chairman of Rundu Group as well as a chairman of the board of GDUFS, LI Xi and his wife HOU Yan donated ¥1,000,000 to GDUFS. The donation ceremony was held in the VIP Hall of the Administration Building on the North Campus. President ZHONG Weihe and Vice President HE Chuantian attended the ceremony. The donation ceremony was presided over by Vice President HE.

President ZHONG extended a warm welcome to LI Xi and other guests at the ceremony, and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Rundu Group and the Board of GDUFS for their support. He gave a brief introduction to GDUFS and explained the use of the donation. He said it will be a part of the Education Development Foundation, which will be used to support the poor students and reward the excellent students and the students studying overseas. President ZHONG hoped that the chairman of the board would continue to give advice and suggestions and support GDUFS over the next 50 years.

LI Xi said he was proud of being a chairman of the board of GDUFS, as our university was getting better and better. He gave a short introduction to Rundu Group, an enterprise making great efforts to serve the society. He showed strong concerns over the youth education and hoped to make more contributions in the future.

LIANG Junda, Vice Secretary of Communist Youth League of Guangdong Province; LIU Yang, Secretary of the Youth Development Foundation of Guangdong; WU Jiarong, Chief of the Swiss Credit Bank in Guangzhou, and ZHANG Deli, Chairman of the Swiss Credit Bank in Hong Kong, also attended the ceremony and delivered speeches.
