Alumni Association of Shenzhen Welcomes Its 10th Anniversary

On June 28th, the alumni association of Shenzhen celebrates its 10th anniversary as well as the 2nd leadership transition in Shenzhen’s South Square. Principle ZHONG Weihe, Vice President LIU Haichun and others attended the event.

On behalf of GDUFS and the school association, President ZHONG warmly congratulated the transition ceremony of the Alumni Association of Shenzhen. He also expressed gratitude for the hard work and the bridge effect it delivered. In addition, he spoke highly of the process which started from growth, went on to maturity, to development. The 10th anniversary of the Alumni Association of Shenzhen is also the 10th anniversary of the rapid development process of GDUFS. Today’s GDUFS is becoming one of most famous universities in Guangdong Province, with its high employment rates and high degrees of satisfaction. President ZHONG Weihe suggested: “There are countless GDUFS’s students in any place that can watch the sun rise.” The development of GDUFS can’t live without the support of alumni. He expressed his gratitude and hope that the alumni of GDUFS can gather together at the main campus to celebrate the 50th anniversary of GDUFS.

GONG Guoxiang, an alumni as well as the President of the Alumni Association of Shenzhen and the Shenzhen Foreign Language School, presented a speech with the theme of “Gratitude, Review and Prospect.” He made a conclusion to the “Ten Events” developed by the Alumni Association of Shenzhen. He stressed that the development of the Alumni Association of Shenzhen can’t achieve its goals without the concern of leaders in GDUFS. The excellent new leadership of Alumni Association will build up the platform with the concept of the “Internet.”

ZHONG Weihe witnessed the transition of the flag and awarded the contract to the new principle of the Alumni Association. LIU Haichun awarded the contract to the new Vice President.

XU Zeming, the 2nd principle of the Alumni Association of Shenzhen, expressed the trust of the leaders and alumni. He also said that the new leadership group will try their best and inherit the concept of “Campus, Home, Paradise.” They will also play the transitional role and bring a new look to GDUFS and the alumni of Shenzhen.

ZHONG Weihe sings “Auld Lang Syne” with other alumni, the activity capping off the ceremony perfectly. During the carnival, TANG Jianming, the song writer of “The Heart of GDUFS,” sang the song in a lively manner. Many alumni and students also give fantastic performances.
