GDUFS President Presented with Memorial Plaque for 65th Anniversary on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations Between China and Poland

On January 14th, Joanna Skoczek, the Consul General of Poland at the Consulate General in Guangzhou, on behalf of the Polish government, awarded a memorial plaque to GDUFS president Weihe ZHONG noting the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Poland. ZHONG is the person who first set up the major Polish in university in the southern China. His great efforts and contribution to the friendly relations of these two countries was commended by the Polish Government.
The founding of the major Polish university in southern China improved the system of Polish education, which was of great significance to popularize the Polish language and culture all over China.

Also attending the ceremony were Doctor Ke YANG, Dean of Faculty of European Language and Culture, Professor Yinhui MAO, Director of the major in Polish language studies and Agnieszka Jasińska, a teacher of Polish at GDUFS.
