Under-Secretary of Poland Ministry of Education visited GDUFS

The under-secretary of Polish Ministry of Science and Tertiary Education, Dr. Hab. Daria Lipińska-Nałęcz, paid her visit to GDUFS accompanied by the Polish Consul General on June 26^th. The distinguished guests were warmly welcomed by President Zhong Weihe, along with Vice President Fang Fanquan and the Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange Jiao Fangtai, at the South Campus.

Under-Secretary Daria Nałęcz mentioned that, in the present cultural diversified global society, the mastery of a foreign language can definitely provide students with a higher developing platform. Poland, as a rapid-developing country, is expecting more and more cooperation with China, one of the very important aspects of which is that Polish language major can be introduced into Chinese universities hence students can be the direct beneficiaries.

President Zhong Weihe shared the experience of GDUFS on the exploration of foreign language teaching while preparing the establishment of Polish major and further cooperation with Polish universities. He believed that the establishment of Polish major would have a profound and extensive impact on promoting Polish culture among Chinese university students.

President Zhong revealed his great hope for the establishment of Polish major before 2015. He also expressed his hope for academic support especially from the Polish Government and Polish universities to ensure the efficiency and quality of the establishing process.

After the gracious meeting, they exchanged souvenirs before joining to witness the Commencement of the School of International Trade and Economics (SITE).
