Vice President Visited Colleges in India and Cambodia and Signed Up Contract

In mid June, Mr. Xu Guobin, Vice President of GDUFS, was invited to Norton University in Cambodia, Jawaharlal Nehru University and University of Delhi in India, in order to promote cooperation and communication. Jiao Fangtai, Director of Department of International Cooperation and Communication, Li Qing, General Secretary of Guangdong Institute for International Strategic Studies, Chen Duoyou, Dean of Institute of Asian Languages, and Tian Keping, teacher of Hindu, have also joined in the visit.

Vice President Jiao visited Norton University for the first time in Cambodia on June 14th . President Chan SokKhieng, Vice President UngVannthoeun and Director of Department of International Relations Domingo S. Aranal gave their sincere welcome. Vice President Jiao and President Chan SokKhieng introduced their schools briefly during the talk and focus on the success of AUPF and their further cooperation. They also mentioned academic communication which would benefit one another.

On June 18th , Vice President Xu visited Jawaharlal Nehru University in India. Principle Sudha Pai sincerely welcomed GDUFS Delegation. Harjit Singh, Chief Consultant of Department of International Cooperation, Rakesh Kumar from Research Institute for China and Research Institute for Southeastern Countries and Chintamani Mahapatra, Director of Research Center for Canada, America and Latin America also met the delegation. During the meeting, Vice President Xu briefly introduced GDUFS in history, subjects and its specialties. Two sides have reached agreement during the meeting and signed up cooperation contract.

Vice President Xu then visited Sino-India Research Institute and met Alka Acharya, Dean of the Institute, Sabraee Mitra and other researchers. In the meeting, Vice President Xu highly praised the institute`s outstanding works and said that GDUFS was willing to offer certain information for their studies. Sino-India Research Institute stated that they were also willing to set up cooperation with GDUFS and looking forward to their mutual achievement in the future. After the meeting, the Delegation and the Research Institute signed up cooperation memorandum.

On June 19th, Vice President Xu visited University of Delhi and met Anita Sharma, Dean of Academy of Social Science and Department of East Asian Studies and Gopeshwah Singh, Dean of Hindu. Delegation of University of Delhi all showed a great expectation in two school`s cooperation. Because of the similarities between both school`s Hindu teaching, GDUFS and University of Delhi would engaged in efforts on development of students of Hindu studies. Also, the two sides agreed on cooperation such as in long-distance teaching and research projects.
