GDUFS New Year's Fruitful Visit

GDUFS President Zhong Weihe visited Hong Kong and Shenzhen from February 21st to the 23rd . Jiao Fangtai, Director of the International Exchange Department, Xie Weiguang, General Secretary of the GDUFS Alumni Association, Chen Hanlin, Assistant to the Dean of the GDUFS International College, and the Board of Directors and Education Development Foundation also joined in the visit.
On the morning of February 21st, President Zhong visited Gao Hongxing, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hong Kong Satellite (HKS), at the HKS Headquarter in Hong Hom. HKS is a newly developed international media group featuring Satellite TV, Internet TV, and movie industry investment. It equips six satellite channels and one internet studio, and is playing an unrivaled role in spreading Chinese Culture in the field of media. As an international university, GDUFS will utilize its own advantage in order to set up further cooperation with HKS with the purpose of promoting Chinese culture and prosperity in a joint effort with HKS. During the meeting, GDUFS and HKS signed a strategic operation framework agreement.
Meeting at Hong Kong Satellite in Hong Hom
In the afternoon, President Zhong met Guo Junfa, Board Chairman of the Motor Transport of Guangdong and Hong Kong Ltd.(DHK) at the DHK Headquarter. President Zhong and Chairman Guo had a deep talk about their past campus lives and memories.

On the evening of the 21st, President Zhong met important members from the Y.Elites Association Limited including Honorary Chairmen Shi Rongxin, Bai Fuhong, Yang Huayong, Executive Vice President Liang Hongzheng, Vice President Huo Qigang, Vice Secretary He Yuhui and Director Zeng Weidong from the Central People抯 Government Liaison Office. They had a thorough discussion on teenagers?interaction and educational communication between Guangdong and Hong Kong.

On the morning of the 22nd, President Zhong met Zhu Enyu, Son of Zhu Jingwen, President of the Zhu Jingwen Education Foundation. The Zhu Jingwen Education Foundation, which aims to 慠eserve Elites for the country? was first founded in 1985 by President Zhu, who has devoted himself to the educational development of hard-working but poor students.

In the afternoon, President Zhong was invited by the GDUFS Alumni Association in Hong Kong to attend a GDUFS Alumni Party. At the party, GDUFS alumni chatted about their present lives and memories of GDUFS. President Zhong encouraged them to continue devoting themselves to their future individual development and also the economic development of Hong Kong. The GDUFS.Alumni Association in Hong Kong was founded on May 10th, 2008 and its current president is He Jianli, GDUFS 1977 graduate alumnus.

On February 23rd, President Zhong visited Shenzhen Foreign Language School (SFLS) and met members of the GDUFS Alumni Association in Shenzhen. At the meeting, President Zhong chatted with Gong Guoxiang, President of GDUFS Alumni Association in Shenzhen, the Board Chairman of SFLS International Department, and GDUFS alumni who graduated in 1965. He got acquainted with the development of SFLS International Department in detail. GDUFS alumni Huang Guoqiang, Yao Weizhi, Li Xiaodong, Lan Binnan and Wen Qi, Ma Danhua also attended the meeting.
