Vice President of Tanta University Visited GDUFS
Oct. 22nd--A delegation from Tanta University, Egypt, led by Vice President Mohamed Ahmed Dabaoun visited GDUFS on Oct. 18th. GDUFS Vice President Fang Fanquan, along with other school officials, warmly received the guests on the north campus and the two sides signed a cooperation agreement after the meeting.
Established in 1972, Tanta University now has in total fifteen thousand students studying in thirteen faculties and thirty-seven research centers. Vice President Mohamed pointed out that the Chinese Department will be established by next year and he hopes to get support from GDUFS. In response to Vice President Mohamed, Vice President Fang Fanquan affirmed that as an internationally-oriented university, GDUFS cherishes cooperation and academic exchange with overseas academic organizations. He indicated that GDUFS could send teaching personnel to Tanta University or provide training for teachers from Tanta University. Mr. Fang Fanquan also expressed his hope to establish exchange programs between the two universities.
