October 10th--His excellency vice governor Chen Yunxian of People's Government of Guangdong Province paid a visit to GDUFS and delivered a speech on US Financial Regulation and Its Implications to China.

Vice governor Chen graduated from Peking University with his doctor degree on economics and he has made a thorough study on the financial and economic patterns of the United States, therefore, vice governor Chen thinks it possible for us to draw something useful to the benefit of our economic development.

The speech was held in the library in North Campus and President Zhong Weihe presided at the meeting. At the very beginning, Mr. Zhong made a brief introduction of vice Governor Chen and stated that GDUFS was Chen's first choice to deliver this speech.

Afterwards, vice Governor Chen shared some of his personal experience and conducted a discussion on the priority of growth or stability, competition or regulation, as well as his own views on China's future direction of financial regulatory system. Finally, three students were chosen to raise questions and satisfying answers were respectively given by vice Governor Chen.
