Sep.12th _On Sep.9th, another breath of new fresh air blew into GDUFS. More than five thousand freshmen entered GDUFS on this day. Besides the numerous luggages, they brought the expectations with them for the next four years of college life as well. Departments of university had made full preparation to welcome them.

At nine in the morning, accompanied by people in charge of other different departments, Vice Secretary Lu Jinghui and Vice President He Chuantian went to see the work of welcoming freshmen at the North and South Campus. They asked how the students' registration and the Project of Green Channel went on and also thanked for those who participated in the freshmen's registration work.
Improved Green Channel with Three 100%
In order not to let any student to quit school out of financial problems, GDUFS decided to arrange three millions to ensure the financial support for the freshmen, which was called three 100%.
Warmhearted Volunteers Ready to Help
On the registration day, lots of volunteers devoted themselves into the helping work. Besides setting up booths for registration, handing out leaflets and assisting luggage lifting, they also did some other counseling and guiding work.

Denglao Herbal Tea: free gift packs with herbal tea, hand fans and health pamphlets inside.
Yuanshan Part-time working: offering the students free umbrellas to borrow.
And other booths, like Xinhua Bookstore's selling English dictionaries, newspapers' subscription in sets not only provided the freshmen convenience but also gave the senior ones opportunity to practice.
