Women's Olympic Doubles Champion in GDUFS

On June 10^th, Yang Wei and Zhang Jiewen, the 2004 women's Olympic Doubles Champion in badminton, came to GDUFS. President Zhong showed warm welcome and compared notes with them.

President Zhong indicated that it was really a great honor to invite Yang Wei and Zhang Jiewen to give us guidance and direction on badminton. He was sure that a trend of playing sports will be formed sooner or later in our school, for health held a safe lead of everything. It is the guarantee of working and studying.

Later, President Zhong, together with our former school badminton player, held a friendly match with two Olympic champions. They all cooperated with their team members. The relaxed yet slightly intense atmosphere caught many students'attention. Our former school badminton player said the champion's kind guidance, good grasp of playing foundation, cool-headed performance left a deep impression on her. She also realized she need more exercise, only through that can she deal with the diversity of techniques.

After the exercise, Zhang Jiewen accepted our interview. She was really surprised about the consummate skill President Zhong as an unprofessional player and she also set a high evaluation on our students'performance. As for the suggestion given to our students, she said we need more practical exercise and watch more badminton matches to enhance our level.
